This university isn’t in the Leiden research data, so its research is measured from OpenAlex. OpenAlex credits it with papers written at a different university of similar name: in a random sample of 100 of its articles and reviews of 2020–23, it is credited with 150 authors, and 25 of them (17%) name Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia Baiano and not this university. Since v3.7 a university is not ranked when 10% or more of the sampled authors credited to it name a different institution of similar name and not the university itself, because its own research can’t be told apart (method Amendment 18.11).
